Where partners contribute

Solar generation, battery storage, electrical infrastructure, installation and technical expertise.
Digital Partner
Computers, tablets, learning devices, offline educational technology and other appropriate digital equipment.
Connectivity Partner
Satellite internet, network infrastructure, installation, managed access and ongoing technical support.
Education Partner
Learning materials, teacher support, digital education resources and classroom equipment.
Health Partner
Appropriate medical supplies, equipment and support for community health facilities such as the local Aid Post.
Logistics Partner
Freight expertise, consolidation, air and sea transport, customs and logistics guidance, and movement of approved equipment and supplies from Australia into Papua New Guinea.
Corporate Sponsor
Funding, equipment, professional expertise or sponsorship of a defined component of the community pilot.

Initial pilot
Our First Proposed Pilot
Kun + Akaka
Western Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea
- Two separate villages
- Approximately 1 kilometre between Kun and Akaka
- Approximately 157 houses identified within the initial assessed service area in Kun
- Approximately 157 houses identified within the initial assessed service area in Akaka
- Approximately 314 houses across the initial assessed service areas
Important: the approximately 314 houses do not represent the total number of houses in the wider surrounding communities. Additional houses are located farther beyond the initial proposed power and internet service areas and have not been included at this stage because of distance.
Kun and Akaka are two separate villages, approximately 1 kilometre apart, and are located near the main road used by people travelling between the valley and Mt Hagen city.
Technical feasibility has not yet been established. Further technical and community assessment will determine the appropriate infrastructure design and coverage.
